An impressive winner of a Naas bumper in late January, Paul Nolan’s charge made a successful start to his hurdling career when beating subsequent winner Thatsy at Galway in October.
He stepped up in class just a fortnight later for the Grade Three For Auction Novice Hurdle and was far from disgraced in finishing second to the high-class Abacadabras.
Latest Exhibition looks set for a step up in distance back at Navan in the middle of next month.
Nolan said: “I think we probably ran him back too quick and over too short a trip in Navan, but you’d have to be happy with the way he ran.
“I think he wants to step up in trip now, so we took him out of the Royal Bond this weekend and we’ll probably look at the two-and-a-half-mile graded race at Navan.
“We’ll see how that goes, but he could then go on to the Lawlor’s race at Naas in January.
“He’s a nice horse and he’s strengthening up all the time.”
