David Menuisier concedes Cambridgeshire is not ideal for Thundering Blue

David Menuisier has admitted dropping back in trip with Thundering Blue is a slight concern ahead of the Betfred Cambridgeshire.
The four-year-old grey has improved in leaps and bounds this season, winning his last three races in eyecatching style.
Following his most recent success at Sandown, he was propelled to the head of the betting for the Newmarket handicap on September 30 and the trainer admits that was one of the deciding factors.
"He's had a very good season but it took us time to know how to ride him, but then he just improved and improved," Menuisier told Betfred TV.
"Physically he's getting stronger and his mind has improved, he's able to take on anything now. The hat-trick for him was quite easy as he had so much in hand.
"The way he won at Sandown and the way he came out of it, I'm pretty confident he can overcome that rating (93). I'm not saying he's improved massively, but I think he is on the up.
"Coming down in trip is a concern, we had the choice of going to Newbury over 10 furlongs but I'd like to try the Cambridgeshire as I think the pace will be strong.
"The way he runs his races, he's so switched off I think he will stay further, but he's favourite for the race so we have to take our chance."
Menuisier is also keen to run Sinfonietta, third in the Irish Cambridgeshire, if he makes the cut.
"He's had a scattered season. He ran well in the Spring Mile but then poorly a few times, although he's had excuses," said Menuisier.
"He ran really well at the Curragh over a mile, but last weekend I think he did too much from the front. I've drawn a line through that race.
"I think he can win a big race off his mark, but in the Cambridgeshire the distance is a worry, although Seamie Heffernan told me he'd be better over further."
