Tatmeen was upped four furlongs in trip last time and it paid off in style as he stayed on very nicely to win at Kempton. He looked to be more superior to his rivals than the length winning margin suggested.
He gets on well with his very promising rider Jack Dace, who has ridden him for most of his starts and is doing very well in the south this year. This is only Tatmeen’s sixth start of his career and this lightly-raced type might well have a fair amount of improvement in him.
8.00 Wolverhampton: Masterofgreygoose
Although his stable could hardly be said to going great guns, Masterofgreygoose ran a good race last time over course and distance and, off a 2lb lower mark, looks to have a decent chance of breaking his maiden in this modest handicap.
He would have likely finished closer than fourth if he had got a clear run last time. The three-year-old's mark has actually dropped by 12lb since he started out in handicaps and he has run a couple of decent races off higher marks than today so this looks an opportunity.
9.00 Wolverhampton: Bizarre Law
Bizarre Law is bang in form and is a seemingly improving type, albeit from a very low level, and he might have a bit too much by now for his 0-60 grade rivals.
He took a while to adapt to the Michael Herrington yard after leaving Andrew Balding and slid right down the handicap, but after winning off a mark of 55, he has since followed up with an excellent effort off today’s mark last time out, finishing second at Chelmsford.
The six-year-old seems to have appreciated the drop down to 7f for his last two starts and can get back on the winning trail here.
