Dave Nevison's top tips for Tuesday: It's time to head for Mansfield

I sorted Tuesday’s tips early on Monday before heading off to the annual HWPA Derby Awards held in the glitzy west end of London (actually, Lancaster Gate but glitzy enough).

Amazingly, yours truly is not up for an award but hopefully by the time you read this Racing TV’s Lydia Hislop will have scooped the top award for Broadcaster! She will certainly have earned it.

4.15 Wolverhampton: Azzeccagarbugli

Azzeccagarbugli found Unforgiving Minute a length and a half too strong when they met here 12 days ago but there are solid reasons for thinking he can turn the tables.

Mike Murphy’s six-year-old is 7lb better off, for starters, and has done better with the draw than his rival.

Also, Murphy has engaged Josephine Gordon, who was on board for Azzeccagarbugli's best run in Britain, plus switched the headgear so clearly there is a plan. I think it will work.

6.15 Wolverhampton: Mansfield

Is a sprinter in form, which is more than can be said for most in this modest field.

He is drawn in stall 9, which is not ideal, but he will not be attempting to lead and hopefully can sit off the likely strong pace and swoop late to land his first all-weather success.

He clearly acts on the surface, as he demonstrated last time.

7.15 Wolverhampton: Telekinetic_

This horse was bought cheaply and sent to Tony Carroll and I am banking on the move bringing about the small improvement needed to win this race.

Telekinetic is consistent enough at this basement level and will have the assistance of the excellent Hollie Doyle.

Keep an eye on the market, as a positive market move would offer encouragement that she has settled in well enough at her new yard.
