Our top tipster has two selections at Chelmsford this evening - watch how they fare live on Racing TV.
I am determined to be on the next Marjorie Fife winner and thought it might have come on Tuesday when Tor kicked on at Musselburgh, only to weaken into fourth.
This horse stayed on from way back at Southwell last time and given the kickback that was a strong effort.
He returns to Chelmsford under Hollie Doyle, who got him to show his best form in ages over this distance, and remains 19lb lower than his opening mark this season. Stall 3 is also a positive.
I don’t encourage recklessness but this looks like a last-race favourite “smash out” to me.
A horse bred to excel over two miles and more, he was finally upped to Thursday’s distance last time.
It made all the difference as he was clear entering the straight and ended up winning 13 lengths.
He is actually running in a lower-grade handicap here and I suppose the only worries for those prepared to take short odds are that a penalty means he is carrying 10st 7lb and that the blinkers are on for a second time.
Personally, I am not worried and will back him to win the evening takeaway curry with confidence.
