Dave Nevison has been in top form this week and has three selections for Thursday’s racing action at Carlisle and Chelmsford which you can watch live on Racing TV.

2.50 Carlisle: Magic Dancer

My tips over the jumps this autumn have yet to trouble the scorers, but I am hoping Magic Dancer might get in the frame at least at a price here.

It is a while since he has won, and he has had breathing issues, but he is coming back down the weights and is now just a pound above his last winning mark.

The eight-year-old has performed very creditably in better grade handicaps than this, but runs in 0-125 grade here, and he was last successful in a 0-140 handicap.

He ought to come for the run following his seasonal debut effort at Plumpton, therefore should give a good account.

6.30 Chelmsford: Sansevero

The handicapper is relenting on this horse and has dropped him 4lb for his last run. Although he was disappointing at Wolverhampton last time out, he was held out wide throughout and it is easy to forgive that effort.

He was gambled on and even more disappointing the time before off a rating of 82, but his previous effort at Haydock was a very good one when he was trying to give a penalty away to a useful rival.

He is back to the scene of his debut win and has dropped down two handicap grades into this 0-75 contest, and might be worth a chance for a perennially in-form yard.

7.00 Chelmsford: Earth And Sky

This horse went into lots of notebooks when a fast-finishing third in a strong handicap for the grade last time out and looks poised to land one soon.

The fourth horse came out and won next time out and the runner-up, Sidereal, has finished second again since.

Her trainer George Scott has had four winners from ten runners in the past week and it is clear Earth And Sky is not the only one from the yard on top of her game.

She was consistent once she hit form on turf and though she is rated higher than her last winning mark, she may still be improving and looks sure to run well.
