Dave Nevison's top tips for Friday: King can rule again for Moore

Fresh from two winners and a 10-1 second on Thursday, our top tipster is back to mark your card at Sandown and Lingfield on Friday.

Gary Moore is one of only a few genuine dual-purpose trainers in the game and I am confident backing his horses on the flat or over jumps.

He is the trainer I am with today at Sandown - weather permitting - and definitely at Lingfield on the all-weather.

1.20 Sandown: Hit The Rocks at 7-2 with Bet365

MEETING ABANDONED

2.00 Lingfield: Estrela Star at 5-4 with Sky Bet

I was proved right in my prediction that Elusif could not win four on the spin last time out but the other side of that theory of mine is that three wins definitely is possible.

If a horse is robust, the programme book and penalty system favours these hot horses and Estrela Star is red hot at present and scored by more than six lengths last time out.

Despite running off a rating of 66, the gelding is eligible to run in a 0-60 grade here which is actually a lower grade than he won in four days ago.

Elusif eventually had to go up to 0-70 where he had been beaten many times before and it is that class element that gets these horses beat, as well as the hectic schedule.

I think Estrela Star is a good thing this time but will not be going in again quickly next time out should he score here.

4.40 Lingfield: King Athelstan at 5-1 with Bet Victor

Another example of good placing by Gary Moore gets this bang in-form horse in a 0-60 despite running off 62.

He has gone well at Lingfield on his last two runs, including winning over this course and distance. He seems to be generally on the improve and that remark cannot really be applied to many of his rivals here. Hector Crouch gets on well with him too.
