The Racing TV tipster was on the mark with Laafy (9-2) on Friday and looks ahead to the action on Saturday.

3.35 Newbury: Zaaki

When the Diomed Stakes is staged at its rightful home, it is a unique Group Three over an extended mile that requires agility as well as talent. Zaaki thoroughly excelled in this respect around Epsom last season and won as a well-backed 11/8 favourite.

In that respect, Newbury’s straight mile could hardly be a more different test, but Zaaki also won a Group Three on the straight course at Ascot - where he had Tabarrak behind - when beating the Group One winner Barney Roy.

It may well be siginificant that he was at his best in the first half of last season and he has surely has been aimed at a repeat here.

I am quite surprised that King Of Comedy is still running as an entire this season as he looked a little suspect more than once last year. If he and Zaaki end up in a final-furlong battle, I am happy being on the Stoute runner.

Different track, same result? Zaaki wins the Diomed last year.

7.15 Curragh: Albigna

I don’t often venture to Ireland for a bet but I feel this filly is head and shoulders above the rest and though she is clear favourite could still be value to land the Classic.

She progressed with just about every run last season and was at the forefront of a cracking group of two-year-old fillies trained by Jessica Harrington.

She won her Group One at Paris-Longchamp in the Marcel Boussac on Arc weekend and then wouldn’t have been the first European horse to get caught out by the bends and pace at Santa Anita in the Breeders' Cup.

If she has trained on, she should still be well ahead of some promising fillies who generally have several grades to improve if they are to get to her.

Shane Foley couldn't hide his enthusiasm for Albigna's chance on Racing TV this week

9.00 Leicester: Ten Chants

This horse is very much ready to win judged by his reappearance effort at Lingfied last week and has been turned out quickly so he can run off the same mark here.

He has a fitness advantage over the majority of this field which comprises quite a few who showed precious little in the way of promise last term and I will be disappointed if he cant win this before perhaps progressing further.
