Dave Nevison's top horse racing tips for Tuesday

Tuesday is a rare quiet day on the Channel and I will definitely be looking at the new Tapeta surface at Southwell.

For betting purposes, I’m sticking over jumps and hoping that this trio run well at Uttoxeter.

12.30 Uttoxeter: Catchmeifyoucan

Is a very consistent mare who is back down to her last winning mark with her stable bang in form, so a good run is expected.

Her jockey, Peter Kavanagh, has stepped forward this autumn and claiming 5lb against other conditionals is definitely a plus for Catchmeifyoucan. She won easily over this course and distance in the summer and also acts on this contrasting ground.

1.00 Uttoxeter: Drumlee Getaway

It really didn’t happen for this mare when trained by Stuart Edmunds (absolutely no mug) but now with Olly Murphy she could not have joined a team in better form.

A mark of 86 is an insult to a quite impressive pedigree and if Murphy has found the key she will have every opportunity to run up a sequence. A good claimer helps further still and it is perhaps significant that she was well backed in her only handicap so far even, even though she ended up being pulled up. The market will show us all we need to know.

1.30 Uttoxeter: Sail Away

I am really interested in the high class Call Me Lord in this race but worried that he might revert to trying to go right-handed on this chasing debut.

Sail Away looks as though he may be an improver over fences for Dan Skelton, which is hardly surprising, and he ran really well on his first appearance for a while after a wind op at Aintree last time. He has been given time to get over that, so shouldn’t bounce, and is worth chancing in the most interesting race of the day.
