The Dandy Man colt made a big impression when making a successful racecourse debut at the Curragh last month over seven furlongs.
Due to a lack of alternative options, Breaking Story drops to six furlongs for this Listed assignment and Lavery admits the shorter trip might not be ideal.
Lavery said: “I think he’s come on since his first run. I’d just be a bit worried that six furlongs might be a bit sharp for him.
“I didn’t have him entered up in any of the early closing races, so there really isn’t much else for him. He’ll take his chance and we’ll see how he gets on.
“I tend to just get my horses fit and let them show what they can do on the track. We’ve always liked this horse and I suppose at the back of your mind you were hoping he’d go and do what he did on his first run. I was delighted that he did.”
Breaking Story features in a 10-strong field, with Aidan O’Brien firing a three-pronged assault.
The Ballydoyle handler saddles recent Naas scorer All The King’s Men, Isle Of Innisfree and Fantasy.
The Willie McCreery-trained Lethal Promise sets the standard on ratings and is joined by stable companion Nitro Boost, who was a ready winner at Bellewstown on her second start.
Mia Mento looked a high-class prospect for Tom Mullins when making a winning debut at Leopardstown and was not disgraced when fourth behind the exciting Ten Sovereigns in the Round Tower Stakes at the Curragh.
However, she lines up with something to prove after disappointing on her return to Leopardstown little over a week ago.
Mullins said: “I can’t put my finger on what happened in Leopardstown. She’s won around there and worked well around there before, but for whatever reason she didn’t act on it the other day.
“We felt she didn’t get the trip, but she didn’t even get six furlongs on the day, in my opinion.
“I’m confident she’s better than that. We’re trying a new track tomorrow, six furlongs is fine and I’m hopeful of a good run.”
The Ger Lyons-trained Inverleigh, Jessica Harrington’s Invincible Karma and Peruvian Lily from Joe Murphy’s yard are the other hopefuls.
