Bay City Roller back in Paris this weekend before Ganay date

George Scott is delighted with the condition of Bay City Roller as he prepares to make his seasonal debut in France this weekend ahead of a rematch with Daryz later this month.
The four-year-old was unbeaten as a juvenile, winning the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster.
Early last season he got within three-quarters of a length of subsequent Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Daryz in the Prix Eugene Adam, but tended to be hampered by fast ground in planning where he was able to run.
However, he rounded off his campaign with Group One glory in the Grosser Allianz Preis von Bayern in Munich, following near-misses in the Prix Niel, Prix Dollar and Prix du Conseil de Paris at ParisLongchamp, to give his handler a notable success.
He returns to Paris for Prix d’Harcourt on Sunday, as Scott fine-tunes his preparation for the the Prix Ganay on April 26, where he is again set to cross swords with Daryz.
Scott said: “He’s in really good order. He’s more forward than he was last year.
“He’s entered in the Prix d’Harcourt on Sunday, where he’s an intended runner.
“We’re using it as a prep run for the Ganay and as I said he’s way more forward than he was this time last year. He’s in great shape and we’re really pleased with him.”
