3.05 Ripon: Silent Beauty
Looked highly-promising when bolting up at Yarmouth on her debut, in a race that's worked out well, with the runner-up now rated 97, and the well-beaten third rated 84.
Her next start came in the Albany at Royal Ascot, and she was no doubt disappointing there, but I can always forgive one poor run, and she was drawn on the wrong side of the track, too.
It's a weaker contest she faces here, and a reproduction of her Yarmouth win would be sufficient to win this.
3.10 Cartmel: Handmedownastar
Nick Scholfield has made a good start to his training career, and has kept the momentum up through the summer months.
He's found a nice opportunity for Handmedownastar here on this stable, and handicap, debut. The selection was dominant when winning on his final start for Seamus Mullins, drawing clear from rivals rated 108 and 112.
That was over 2m3f, and he gave the impression a greater test would suit him well, while a rating of 115 shouldn't prevent him winning this.
3.55 Downpatrick: Cozone
He's two from two in recent starts at this track, winning over course and distance in March before coping with a four-furlong drop in trip last time out.
This new mark of 109 is going to demand more, but he's clearly in good heart, will be suited by the step up in trip, and defied this mark earlier in his career.
4.19 Cartmel: Fairlawn Flyer
Gets a healthy pull in the weights with both Caughtinyourtrance and Stratagam from when they all met in July over this course and distance.
He finished tamely last time out at Uttoxeter but has since had wind surgery. If that allows him to deliver a sustained challenge, he's very well handicapped.
