There's every chance that today will be an historic day for our sport, with Enable seeking to win a third consecutive Arc.
She should win at prohibitive odds and make history in the process. I have four selections for you.
Having won this race last year, he looks to have been primed for a repeat success. He is at his best on soft ground and this trip of seven furlongs suits him ideally. Lightly raced in the 12 months since that victory, he ran perfectly well behind the useful Flight Risk last time out over a mile on good ground. Back in trip and with some give underfoot, he looks to be something to bet on.
A most impressive winner at Listowel last time out, he rates as a decent bet at 9/2 here. Arriving here on a hat-trick, despite rising through the weights, the way he travels through his races suggests to me that he has plenty more handicapping scope. This is a competitive contest but Razoul looks sure to run well.
Another to have won this race last year who can repeat the feat here. He is lightly raced over fences and turns up here only 2lb higher than for his success in 2018. His subsequent efforts were more than respectable and given his lack of mileage over fences, there could be more to come from him. There's every chance he has been targeted at this race again.
This is a very talented filly and her effort last time out at Goodwood in the Nassau Stakes was sensational. She went off at a very strong pace, was taken on by Hermosa, yet kept galloping all the way to the line only to be caught by Deirdre - who in my opinion would have won the Irish Champion Stakes with a clear run. That level of form looks very solid and with a slightly more judicious ride she can win here under Frankie Dettori.
