After one winner and a couple of frustrating defeats, hopefully there's better to come this week with five selections on a fantastic day of action on Racing TV. The Irish 1000 Guineas takes centre stage flanked by a fiercely competitive card at York for the Sky Bet Sunday Series.
Alice Haynes is doing really well with her two-year-olds and can have another winner with Lady Hollywood, who shaped with a good deal of promise on her debut.
She was beaten narrowly by Fragrance at Catterick, who came into the race with previous experience and that proved to be the difference between the two.
Lady Hollywood is open to a heap of improvement and is a good bet to prevail here given that she looks sure to improve. The booking of William Buick is very encouraging.
This Dubawi colt stormed to victory last time out at Chester and can follow up here.
You would not have blamed connections for stepping him up sharply in grade after that win, but they are treading softly with him and another confidence-boosting win looks to be on the cards.
That success came after a very good debut behind Francesco Clemente at Newmarket and the Gosden colt has gone on to win readily at Sandown since. Secret State is clearly already useful and should take this in his stride.

The trainer has won five of the last 10 renewals and, in Tuesday, he has an improving, classy and well-bred filly with the best form on offer courtesy of her third in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket - a big step forward on anything she had done previously.
The Newmarket winner, Cachet, was only narrowly defeated in the French equivalent and with improvement likely from Tuesday I see no reason why we need to look beyond the obvious here.
Grant Tuer was the leading trainer in the Sky Bet Sunday Series last season and this consistent performer can win for the yard on his third start this season.
Lion Tower is a straightforward, talented handicapper who travels strongly in his races and his effort in a strongly-run race here at York last time gives him a great chance here.
He has only been raised 1lb for that and, given how reliable he is, the early guide price of 12/1 seems very generous. He looks sure to run really well again.
He is firing on all cylinders and can complete a hat-trick here.
Super Superjack won at Ascot last time with plenty in hand - value for a lot more than the winning margin - and a 4lb rise should not be enough to stop him given the rapid progress he is making. He won three times in 2021 and now twice this year.
Trainer Milton Harris has had five winners from 21 runners on the Flat in 2022 and he looks set to bolster that impressive strike rate with this upwardly mobile gelding.
