International Broadcast Sales manager

Job Title: International Broadcast Sales Manager Contract: Permanent Location: Victoria (and Ealing Studios)

Overview of position: An opportunity to work for the leading horse racing media rights organisation. As part of a successful and dynamic team in London an exciting opportunity has arisen to join RMG as International Broadcast Sales Manager. The key focus of the role is to manage and develop B2B revenues & distribution exposure from international television broadcasters. On site attendance required at a number of major events.

Key Responsibilities: - Account management of RMG’s international broadcast partners - Responsible for maximising the value (& reach) of RMG’s rights internationally - Day to day (& monthly) P&L(& KPI) responsibility for RMG’s international broadcast agreements/ sales including regular reporting to the Int’l broadcast steering group - Follow up on each partner’s broadcast plans and track all content distribution within the territory - Work with partners to formulate new content ideas that leverage existing distribution platforms - Research the marketplace, market trends and methods of broadcasting pictures across different distribution platforms - Responsible for liaising with key shareholders to develop a process of managing international broadcaster’s camera crews at major UK festivals, includes attendance at the major races attended by the International broadcasters - Organisation of RMG conferences/meetings worldwide - Responsible for international broadcast sales budget - Responsible for managing contract negotiations - Attend international industry conferences to develop key partner relationships and source new business leads - Full understanding of broadcast/ delivery options available to broadcasters (at all times clearing with Director of Broadcast & Production) - Responsibility for correct invoicing and collection of monies due - Agree marketing collateral & send out to broadcasters on an agreed timetable - Maintain a detailed database of broadcasters, recording sales history and record contact so it is available to report on - Collaborating with our departments such as GBI & online International to best meet the company goals - Develop and implement the international broadcast sales strategy __ Required Skills/Experience: - Degree-level qualification or similar - Possess strong business acumen, a high level of diplomacy, excellent management capability with a high attention to detail - An interest in/knowledge of horseracing - Experience in selling TV/media rights to international broadcasters - Experience in negotiating and managing agreements with partners - Excellent planning, organisational and relationship management skills - High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint - Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills - Prior experience of working in the sports media industry - Demonstrate a strong work ethic and the desire to succeed in a fast paced environment - A talent for problem solving and an understanding of client liaison - Excellent Team Player __ Essential requirements/Qualifications: - At least 1-2 years’ experience of working in a sports broadcast sales role - Proven track record of achievement - Strong IT skills - Good written and verbal communication skills - Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail - Regular UK and international overseas travel is required in this role. It may be reviewed from time to time to incorporate changing circumstances, and you may be required to be flexible and perform other duties as required by your manager.
